The beginning of the end

When we let go of everything, like the need to be right, like attachments to everything and everyone, when we let go of our mind and the ego, then all the pressure in life goes with it.

This is true freedom. This is peace.

To get to this point is a journey, a practice, a change in habits, a choice, a willingness to allow things not to bother us. A decision to be present in this moment and not live in the past or project into the future. Consciousness leads to freedom.

However, once we start down the path, it is the beginning of the end of the daily suffering we put ourselves through, as once we see the light it brings to us we do not ever want to go back to the darkness of our minds.

Got to be worth a try.

People, things and action

Often we do things in life and we do it only out of an attachment to doing that thing.

We rarely stop to consider what is the purpose of doing it.

Strangely, the same pattern occurs with objects and stuff. We accumulate stuff without really knowing why and we become attached to it and keep it, often without knowing why too.

We have an obsession with becoming attached to people, actions, things and so on.

These mental attachments are there to people, things, actions, places without us being conscious of them. However, the mind controls us with these obsessions and brings suffering to us both mental and physical. In a conscious state we see these things for the mind patterns that they are an then we can move on from them and become detached from the hold on us.

What if we lived without attachment and only be with people from choice but not glued to them, owning things that had a purpose but were free to get rid of them without any upset and doing stuff that actually mattered and enriched our lives, again without the mental millstone of having to do it out of attachment?

I guess we’d be happier, we’d have a lot more time, a whole lot less stuff, surrounded by people who loved us for what we truly are and we’d be free from the constraints of having to mentally hold onto everyone, everything and every action. We would be free from emotional drains, free from our thoughts, free to be ourselves.

Become unattached.
