What we have constructed

Just think how many times we have bought something, liked something, eaten something, done or said something, even partnered someone because it fitted out story and our ego.

Yet deep down we sensed the things our the people weren’t right for us.

Just think how much simpler and joyful we would be if we followed our soul, our true essence and heart. If we went with our real feelings and not acted to be popular, fit in or live to a lifestyle that fits the self image our mind at its ego have constructed.

It’s a choice we can make.

What is bravery?

We are conditioned to believe that strength is to do with being tough, not letting our guard down, not showing emotion and just ‘sucking it up’.

The reality is that numbing the bad means we numb the good too. So we suffer behind our armour. Just to keep up the facade.

True bravery is being vulnerable and open. It means being able to be true to our real soul not placating the mind and its ego with shields and dishonesty. It means taking the armour off.

To be strong in a true non-egotistical way is to be true to ourselves no matter what. Easily written more challenging to do.

Acceptance and surrender to what is requires bravery. Denial is just another form of suffering while maintaining appearances for others to see.
