Stay present and stay free

Whatever comes our way there is always a solution and when it is happening right now, the only time anything can happen, we always know what to do. We always deal with it right now or of course, we choose not to deal with it, but it’s happening now, so no thought, no fear, no worry, no what if…it’s happening.

The challenge in life is always created from a mental projection of the future, a time that does not exist, a time that nothing can happen, as it is not now and when we reach that point, it will still be now.

The projections into the future create psychological fear as it is something that can never be dealt with now. We suffer mental and then as a consequence, physically too. This then creates a compound effect and further suffering and anxiety come.

The only way to avoid this is to realise everything always happens now, and there is nothing that can happen that we can not cope with or deal or choose to do nothing about. As it is happening in this very instance there is no capacity or time to think about it. No thought means no suffering.

Stay present, stay free from suffering within.

It’s only hard if we make it so

Every day for 2,136 days, well 2,137 today, I have opened the ‘new post’ tab and I have been faced with a blank screen and until today, I have written something and published it.

“So what!’ I hear you say. The point isn’t the number of days, the point is that some days I have written immediately what I feel and sense, it flows and it’s not for me to judge whether it is any good or not, as that is completely subjective and in fact, it is only the mind that makes it either good or bad. Job done, hit the ‘publish’ button and move on.

Some days, the screen stays blank and then the mind starts, and the thinking starts, then the criticism, the doubt, the sabotage. The longer it goes, the harder it becomes to start and often I end up getting distracted, or actually deliberately going onto something else to avoid the showing up and doing today’s blog.

The thing is, always when we think the doing gets harder. When we allow the feelings flow from within and get started straight away then we enjoy the doing now.

Things are only hard if we make it so. Today, I allowed my mind to make this hard.
