Experiences

‘Old Father Thames’ by Philip Dodson

Ask yourself ‘what did I do today that created a new experience?’

Amazingly, with a relatively short stay on this rock, we spend most of our time doing the same things and listening to our rambling thoughts that convince us to avoid doing anything.

When we get to the end of our journey it is the experiences we created that will matter.

Getting it done

If we focus on doing and not the outcome, then we become in this moment and experience the joy of doing. Things get done.

If we focus on the outcome and not the doing, then we enter the thinking mind and project into the unknown fantasy that is the future. Instead of experiencing the joy doing, we suffer the pain that psychological fear brings to us from the mind. Nothing gets done.
