The next ‘big’ thing is what many spend their life waiting for…a wedding, a holiday, a promotion, a new car and so on. The mind and its ego waiting for the ‘important’ and opportunity to perhaps become superior for a moment, of course, the moment is short-lived.

The problem is the ‘big’ things only amount to about 0.1% or less of our life. So that means we spend 99.9% of our time waiting for the ‘big’ thing, waiting to be noticed, waiting to feel ‘special’ or ‘important’.

The little moments, as in this one right now are what we could choose to be aware of and enjoy, or instead, we can carry on projecting into the future in our unconscious mind-state and ignoring 99.9% of our lives.

Life without

I could take life without a spoon, an Xbox, a smartphone, the internet, yeah I really did say that as I am publishing another blog on it, I could always publish it old school as say a paper. Much of what the world holds up as important, I and you could do without. In fact, we’d be better off without.

I couldn’t live without art, music, people, nature, books, and most of all love. Imagine a world without any pictures or music. Even more, imagine a life without having love, there is no life. Yet the world is filled with hate and for example, the arts considered as a waste of time. Now, miraculously, healthcare specialists finally waking up to the benefits to our mental and physical health of being in nature, wow what a revelation eh!

Strange how much not having the internet seems to stress the whole world out more than say, not having time to appreciate art or being loving towards each other. Hate is the norm, but we could all do without it.
