Live like you will die…because you will

‘live like you will die. Because you will’ – I read that somewhere today.

Interesting, there are two things that unite us all.

Firstly, our physical carnation will die at some point and almost certainly, everyone who is currently alive will be a pile of dust sometime in the next 50-100 years, you and I included.

Secondly, our inner energy, our spirit, our soul, is all part of the universe, everything that exists is connected by the same energy, we are one. That energy will continue forever.

Acceptance of our own death, now, changes our outlook on life, now in this moment, the only moment we can be alive. We spend a great deal of time and energy inside our minds imagining our own demise, what if we accept it and let go and then live this moment?

We can only die once and we will, so let go of the fear of that event, let go of the resistance, surrender to it. Then we are free from that burden and can live free of the fear.

The energy that made us came from the cosmos and will return to it after our body has expired, the real you and me, not the mind, body, name etc, the inner energy that is us never dies.

So stop reading this, go and live this moment it is all we have.

The beginning of the end

When we let go of everything, like the need to be right, like attachments to everything and everyone, when we let go of our mind and the ego, then all the pressure in life goes with it.

This is true freedom. This is peace.

To get to this point is a journey, a practice, a change in habits, a choice, a willingness to allow things not to bother us. A decision to be present in this moment and not live in the past or project into the future. Consciousness leads to freedom.

However, once we start down the path, it is the beginning of the end of the daily suffering we put ourselves through, as once we see the light it brings to us we do not ever want to go back to the darkness of our minds.

Got to be worth a try.
