Life avoidance

As humans we’ve become so risk adverse and so scared of our own shadow, that through our desire to be safe, we are actually avoiding life.

We have become so preoccupied with how we can extend our life and avoid any risk that in doing so we do not live.

The fact is, life comes with a death sentence. As Eckhart Tolle says ‘life is fatal, it always ends in mortality’.

The two opposites are not life and death, they are in fact, birth and death. Life is eternal. Energy never dies and our true essence is energy housed in our temporary human existence.

If we stop considering what might happen in a future moment, we will step away from all the fear and uncertainty and become more present.

By being more present, we will actually live our life in this moment. The only moment that there ever is, instead of avoiding our life.

None of us know what will unfold in the future, therefore, it is best to simply enjoy this moment now and step away from the uncertainty that prevents being alive.

I need more…

In life, we are waiting always for someone else to be first

We expect others to show us love, attention, kindness, compassion, all these things that we so crave, and then of course, when we don’t receive them, we are disappointed.

We are always in negative state of lack. Looking to others to fulfil it.

Like everything in life, the solution to the disappointment is within us.

Firstly, we should never look to others for our own happiness, love etc, all those things are our responsibility.

However, we need to ask ourselves ‘am I giving that to the World?’.

Answer will be ‘no’ as you can only lack something you are not giving yourself first and then to others.

If we want more hugs, we need to give those hugs first. If we want more love, we have to love ourselves and give that love to others. If you want more attention, we need to be truly attentive to others.

The World is always a reflection of our inner state and only us can control that inner state.

Be first and end disappointment. One small step towards change.
