Don’t leave it

If you instinctively know that what you want to say is the right thing to say, then you are more than likely to be correct in your thinking.

But then the mind takes over, we over think, we lose our courage and we end up not saying it. Then we fester about that and beat ourselves up for not being brave enough to say what we really feel.

Then when it gets to us, we usually then end up saying what we could have done in the first place, but it comes out with all the anger and frustration that we’ve built up with ourselves.

Just say it and say it straight-away, don’t leave it, it never gets better with time.

You’re the one putting your hand in the fire

Stick to your guns.

Don’t be swayed by others.

It’s what you feel that matters.

After all, others may well advise on a course of action, but they haven’t got to do it.

If it feels wrong, if there’s a nagging doubt, if something comprises your values, it won’t go well

Step away and trust your own judgement.

It seems easier to fit in and do what’s expected or popular but longer term it’s always better to do what deep down you know to be right for you.

After all who’s hands going in the fire? Not their’s.
