Desperate to be right

It’s funny, when we are engaged with the mind, the ego takes over, and the ‘red mist’ descends and we are unable to be calm. We will go to almost any lengths to find evidence to be right about something and prove others wrong.

We will relish the opportunity to force our views on others and then, if we are correct, we will then go to the same means to tell others that we were right, relishing saying ‘I told you so’.

Mad isn’t it. In a conscious awake state, what does it matter?

A peaceful life comes from accepting our views are just that and it does not matter whether we are right or wrong. Life is better when we let go.

Drama

Drama, it is everywhere once the mind finds it.

Our mind feeds on it and once we have one piece of drama, something to moan about, something to have as a problem, then the mind looks for the next thing and so on. It is voracious, it never gets full up with drama or problems.

Interesting a drama can only be in the past or in the future same as a problem. Therefore, they are not real. If it is in the past it no longer exists and therefore it is our mind that chooses to feed on it. If it is the future, it is just a mind created thought, as the future does not exist.

Drama and problems can not live in the present moment, there are no dramas or problems now.

Conscious people spend more of their life drama and problem-free, therefore, at peace.
