Safe and certain

Creating our ‘art’, our ‘craft’ requires an act of love and an act of chance. To create our very best shot and see what unfolds means taking a leap.

It might work and it might not…we can’t see the future as it only exists in our mind.

The future is fear. So stay away from it and allow what is to unfold and our love of our art to be.

Brave it, do what we want now out of love and ride the wave that is the beautiful and uncertain moment that will keep unfolding.

Or we could just choose to do something safe and just work on certainties.

A Little step and no sabotage

Step by step, we can move to wherever we want to in life, as it small and unnoticeable to the mind and its sabotaging fears. It is not difficult to maintain either, it’s just a small step and nothing to fear.

Giant leaps are noticeable and the fear starts up. Equally, they require too much effort to maintain once the battery is drained on our will power.

So we could travel a 1,000 miles, or achieve any task or change, in just a collection of single small steps, one after another over a period of time. No burden, no need to think, no time for fear of the consequences, no opportunity for the ego to be damaged by ridicule or what others might think. All completely sustainable once the habit forms.

When the pole vaulter starts her run up, there is a giant leap to be made and plenty of opportunity for projected thought of failing. Same with a giant change or a big project.

Just take that small step, now, in this moment and keep taking another small step as each moment unfolds. Conscious action in the moment removes thought and enables us to just enjoy the doing free from any other pressures.
