The lighthouse

‘The lighthouse does not wander the world looking for ships to save, it just shines its light for ships’.

That is a quote I read today or something like that. The thing is there is so much of this ‘help others’ and ‘have a purpose’ and so on. Perhaps, if we just focused on our light, being the example, then we can be a light for others. Otherwise, how can we help if we have no light ourselves?

I am good you are not
I know you don’t
Evaluation everywhere
This is what my mind does

My soul is at peace
My soul accepts what is
My soul is connected to yours
My soul is connected to all that is

I can see if I do not look
I can hear if I am silent
I have nothing to defend
My soul is love
