I think, therefore…

If we took the energy and time that we spend thinking each day and used that to consciously focus on the present moment, free from the mental noise, just imagine how different our life would be.

60,000 thoughts per day on average, with probably 59,999 being thoughts that we had an hour ago, a day ago, a month ago, in fact, for an entire lifetime.

Silencing the mind creates space within, space for new things to arise from our very essence and with that space we can allow them to grow and to be manifested. If there is only constant thought, then there is no space for anything else.

The ability to think does not prove existence. The conscious awareness that witnesses our thought and other senses prove that our true being is the awareness, the knower, that is beyond thought. We are not our mind.

I think, therefore I’m nothing but thought.

It’s all a choice

If it is something that another person is doing or saying, then it is totally out of our control.

Strangely, we seem to believe differently, trying to change what is and we oddly choose to suffer from other people and their actions.

All we can control ever is ourselves, it’s that simple, and if we choose to control our own mind and stay away from the repeating thoughts and stories, then we can be free from suffering, worry, fear, anxiety and all other forms of emotions that bring us pain.

It is all a choice as to whether we want to suffer the drama or not.
