Nothing is the colour we think it is

The sky isn’t blue or the grass isn’t green or the banana isn’t yellow or the sea isn’t light blue or the snow isn’t white. That is only how our mind sees things through its conditioning of what colours things are, it comes from school and early years.

The same thing with how we see people too. We label them and then we do not see them as they really are, we see them as the label and the judgement that goes with the label.

They speak and we do not hear them, the walk past and we instantly react within to them, a stranger that we’ve never met. We experience fear even based on what they might be wearing.

If we stop and just observe without engaging our mind, we actually see and we do not label or react. Then we realise that nothing is the colour we think, or the person, or event, that the label we created it to be.

Imagine a life where we actually saw…reality.

Life situation

Our life situation is in the mind and is time-based, made up of past, present and future. Rarely is the mind focused on the present, it is always in the past or the future. Our whole life situation is time-based as we go from one thing to another on a schedule.

When we are at breakfast, the mind has raced ahead to the next thing, so we do not notice breakfast. When we arrive at the next thing, such as a meeting or shopping, we do not notice that either as the mind has moved onto what’s next and so on, for a whole lifetime. We are in time-focused unconscious mind-state for most of our existence, rarely experiencing now.

So if we are in the mind and our life situation, we are never, or rarely, present in our actual real life, the one that has no time other than now. Time is a construct of the human mind to enable the mind to project forward or search back. It is not relevant to our real conscious life, it only applies in the mind-based insane world of our life situation.

All the things that happen in the life situation are just a fantasy of the mind.
