Just across the road

Just across the road is a place that we want to be.

The road is busy, it looks like it’s dangerous, it might take a time to cross.

We search for the pedestrian crossing, we search for the safe route, even if that safe route is a long way up the road and far away from the place we want to be that is just opposite.

Simply stepping off the pavement and taking the plunge, the chance of a gap in the traffic, being nimble enough to make our way across is often too much for us.

Yet, we really want to be at that place jsut across the road.

The dilemma is risk or take your time for perceived safety.

Yes, you are more likely to get run over by just dashing across the road versus the pedestrian crossing.

However, risk is more likely to get you to where you want to go and risk is more exciting.

Certainty does not exist and is dull.

Life comes in different shapes.

There is nothing certain about life.

Well, we say ‘death and taxes’.

Who knows as technology advances and things change, perhaps we can eliminate death.

As regards taxes, if you stepped away from the money myth, then we would not need taxes either.

The point is nothing is certain, and that is what makes life magical and worthwhile.

There isn’t a perfect shape, colour, size, smell and so on.

It is all subjective and that is again the wonder of life.

We all prefer what we prefer and it will never be quite the same as another.

Our uniqueness is a marvel, it’s a world full of different shapes.
