99 more times

For something to change, for a habit to from, for someone to notice what we are doing or saying, you’ve done it once, now you might have to do it another 99 times for the magic to happen.

Change is repetition, commitment, perseverance and patience.

Doing it once is not enough, doing every day for months or even years brings about a powerful compound effect.

No perceivable change occurs in the early stages and that is where we most often give in, we wanted the quick fix instant result kind of change, but lasting change takes longer.

But once you build momentum the change is often surprisingly much better than expected and easier then to maintain.

What change will you do at least 99 more times?

Letting go takes time

When we let go of things that no longer serve us, we have to be prepared to be patient.

Attachments are difficult to let go, they will not suddenly disappear.

It’s a gradual process, that involves being kind to ourselves and moving at the pace that works for us.

Do not bury things away, that is not letting go, that’s avoidance.

Letting go is taking the time to explore the emotions and to write a new narrative for life.

However, once an attachment to someone or something has truly gone, the freedom is worth the wait.

We need to give ourselves time to evolve, time to free ourselves.

It’s a process and the most important thing is to start, take small steps, by kind and wait for the freedom that will come.
