Things are rarely what they seem

Often we have made an evaluation, perhaps not even that, we just jump straight to our judgement perch without knowing why.

If we took a moment to find out about the thing we’ve instantly judged, how many times do we think we would discover how ill informed we are about something?

Most of us make judgements made on just something we may have heard others say or we once read something.

We often do not have the time to look into everything in depth, so we substitute informed evaluation with rapid judgement.

Perhaps, we can not question every single thing all the time, but to question more surely has to be worth it?

Many things are rarely what they seem on the surface.

Others like their own views

If you want to see a change, remember others are fond of their own views.

Hostility changes nothing.

Militancy does nothing but alienate.

Empathy and walking in someone else’s shoes opens the mind and enables compromise, forward momentum and allows ideas to flow. No one is all right or all wrong.

The fool is one who can not cross the divide, who chooses judgement, and who can not see the good in all, who can not listen to a different view.

Inspire and lead, do not try to control and coerce.
