Kindness to ourselves

Instead of saying to ourselves ‘I’m a good partner/wife/husband/father/mother’ or ‘I’m kind/loving/generous/supportive/thoughtful person’ we say bad things to ourselves.

We always find something to criticise or compare with others to beat ourselves up with.

Kindness to ourselves could be our default setting, if we choose.

We could be our number one fan instead of our number one critic.
