I no longer write days off

IMG_3470

I used wake up some days and just not be motivated or inspired.

I would then drift through the day allowing that mood to dictate the rest of the day. That would only serve to affirm my mood and the day would often be a write-off.

We’re all human, there are going to be days when we wake up and think, ughhh, can’t be bothered today.

Now, I allow myself to articulate in my head how I am feeling, I just let it all come out, I don’t even attempt to do anything until that’s done. I even make a list.

I then remind myself that the type of day I am going to have is a choice, my choice, and then I go through all the stuff that has made me feel uninspired.

Then I look at it on a scale of 1-10, 1 being something not really important enough to spoil my day and 10 being a matter of life or death.

Typically, and not surprisingly, 99% of it falls into the 1 zone on the scale and some minor amount might reach a 2, sometimes in extremes a 3.

This allows me to get a sense of perspective and then move on with the day.

I no longer choose to write days off.

Now is the greatest moment to speak up

How many times do we agree with something in life, simply because it is more comfortable to agree, than to say what we truly believe?

It is hard to take a different path, to be the one who stands out, to be the heretic.

It has become so much harder, in a world where the accepted view point is thrust upon us from every direction, and if you dare to speak up, then you are ridiculed. The world has become almost one voice, one culture, sanitised and compliant.

Interestingly though, as a reaction to this, gradually, more people are crying out for different, often to break up the monotony, or simply because they have started to question the ‘truths’ that we have been told. They have started to question the equation of a life of slavery in return for trinkets.

Now is the greatest single moment in time to speak up and be heard.

Why? because it is different, different will be the new safe, and hardly any one does.

Make your mark on the world, speak up.
