200 million blogs, will my message be seen?

There are 9 million bicycles in Beijing, that’s a fact, well according to Katie Melua’s song. There probably is a few to be fair.

Well looking at stats about how many blog sites there are and apparently, there are approximately 200 million of them.

This generates about 1.5 million posts a day.

Those 1.5 million posts are vying for the attention of 3.6 billion internet users.

There are always enough people to read our posts, buy our stuff, to attract to our message.

The problem isn’t the size of the audience, it’s the message we create and whether it will stand out from the other 1.5 million posts.

Create the right message, keep making it better, consistently share it with the world and be patient, the right people will see it.

After all, we don’t need 3.6 billion people, we just need the right ones.

Last minute blog

So today, I’ve had a day that has been one of those days.

Those are the days when you feel like just saying ‘fuck it’ and sitting in front of Netflix.

I normally do this daily blog at around 4pm and seeing as I am just 11 days off from completing a whole year of blogging every day, I seriously do not want to miss one now.

I got home about 7.40pm blog still to do and wanting to go to the gym.

So I opted for the gym, I know for those who know me that’s probably a little hard to believe, but I did 30 minutes on the bike, 15 minutes in the pool and then 10 minutes in the steam room.

It was in the steam room that the mind finally cleared and the energy came back to go home and do the blog.

There are two things I learnt, first when you have a block on something, go do another thing and relax. The second, commitment is about doing things on the hard days, not the easy ones.

Now time for dinner.
