Listen to you

The best person to advise ourselves is, in fact, ourselves.

We have been present at every single second of our lives.

We have felt every single moment of joy, love, happiness, disappointment, shame, pain and so on.

From that, there are always lessons.

Yet somehow at times, we override our own instincts and we allow either ourselves or others to influence us to go against our feelings. That leads to the repeating pattern and the same results and inevitable frustration.

In order to listen to ourselves, we need to get curious as to why we are overriding what we know to be the right answer for us. Until we discover that we will continue to frustrate ourselves by not listening to ourselves and lessons will be impossible to learn.

We have all the right answers most of the time, it’s just learning how to listen and apply them.

Not the outcome you wanted

If you are not happy with the outcome of something, instead of looking for something or someone to blame, look at your input.

If we keep putting in the same we will get the same thing out.

New outcomes do not happen immediately.

However, they only come when we are willing to do things differently.

Doing things differently isn’t like flicking a switch, it means being committed to changing habits. That is a process of taking small daily steps and being prepared to put in the hard work to commit long enough for the new habit to form.

The hard work reaps reward and suddenly your life is full of outcomes you wanted.

What new outcomes do you want to start working on?
