Closed for repairs

It’s good for us all to shut up shop.

Switch it all off.

Close the blinds, pull the duvet over and say ‘screw you world’.

Not often, but every so often, this allows a chance to breath, to relax, to be without any cares. A time to recharge a little, think, review, and allow some of the tensions of life to escape.

It’s even good to break the mundaneness of life’s rituals and routines.

Regularly, of course, it’s bad. But once in a blue moon, it’s good to be ‘closed for repairs’.

Magical moments

During every day that we live around us are magical moments occurring.

Yet, most of the time we are too busy to notice them.

It could be people, nature, words, sounds, smells…

People serving us smile and wish us a good day but we rush off with sandwich and change without taking a moment to stop and smile back.

The sun shines through the trees and leaves blow in the wind, but we walk past head in our iPhone screen.

There are many, many more examples and if we choose to look for them, we can be amazed just how many there are.

It’s like anything, what you look for is what you will see and the more magic we see the more magical our lives will be.
