When we find ourself in a rut and we’re starting to find the day-to-day a challenge. No matter what any of us are doing, there is always a degree of repetition and that can lead to becoming stale and finding that the enthusiasm is lacking.
That’s when we need to stop and look at what we have and what we have created in life. Look at the journey we have had and remind ourselves that we have got to where we are through being an amazing human being.
All of us are capable of so much more than we often achieve because we allow ourselves to get into these ruts.
The ruts can be broken by simple chucking a bucket of water over our heads, by shaking things up, by making some changes to the daily routines.
Now we all know that the disciplines of daily routines, the little steps, done religiously day in day out, are part of the key to success. However, like all things, if you do not put some breaks, variety and introduce new stuff, then it starts to become a chore.
We all need to refresh the outlook, take on new challenges and have excitement in our life. The really successful people recognise that there is ‘shit’ to do each day and get it done. The also know that discipline is key to it. But the most successful will also take time to mix things up, to break the routines with things that are fun, challenging and exciting.
After all, we are all humans and not robots. So don’t get into ruts, be disciplined, be focused and make sure we allow in our schedule for new, exciting and challenging things to break up the monotony of life.
