My 30 day challenges, day 26 – by Philip Dodson

Day 26, that’s 26 days without alcohol, no chocolate, no crisps and no sweets at the hub. In addition, 26 days of getting up at 5:45 am, doing my weights twice a day, walking home from station instead of being picked up and then blogging each day.

It’s been great and it has proved that by having goals and by taking small steps, you can achieve big things.

So my thought for today is all about hard work.

It’s a simple thought, there are no shortcuts, no quick & easy fixes, there are no get rich quick schemes – pure & simply, what you put in to life , is what you will get out.

My 30 day challenges, day 22 – by Philip Dodson

Today is day 22 and it’s been one of those days, where you are flat out busy and now as I type this at 8pm on the train home, I realise that my brain is totally frazzled.

My thought for today is a very simple one, some times running your own business is good and some days it is hard. There are days you sit there and think “this is hard”. There will be times, even when business is good, that you’ll think I’ve had enough, all this work so far and still more and more hard days to go.

However, that’s what defines a business owner, is that no matter how much hard work you face, you know if you keep going you will make your vision a reality. That’s when the reward comes, not the money, but the true sense of achievement, more often than not against the odds.

My greatest strength is my determination, some would say stubbornness, I just never give up on things I am passionate and care about. So if you feel like quitting, don’t – things always get better, especially if you work hard and remain 100% focused and passionate about your dream.

Today’s pic taken on my way home from the station, there is a brighter light, always.

One life – never give up on anything, you’ll have an eternity to rest.
