Today is day 14, two weeks done and nearly 1/2 way through the challenges. This weekend has been easier than last, as the habits are truly forming. Although, this morning at 5.45 a.m., I so nearly hit the snooze button!!
The picture for day 14 is of the countryside near where I live in Surrey, I took it while out on my bike ride this morning.
My thought for today is about time to switch off.
We all need down time, a moment to be with our own thoughts, so my bike rides give me exactly that time I need, with the added bonus of exercise too.
I use the time to clear my head of the day-to-day and to really think about things in my life. It really helps to get clear thoughts, as you’re not in the normal daily environment of home/work and I am on my own.
So whatever you are doing in life, take time out for yourself, at least once a week, to make sure that you have time to take stock of your life. Also, it’s good for the soul to be in your own space for a period of time.
Lastly, today I have spent quality time with ‘Team Dodson’ playing on PS3, watching a film together & a walk to the duck pond. This is what matters in life, is family & good people, not material things.
