1.      Plan

Always have a plan, without one you’ll go nowhere or everywhere, no focus and being a headless chicken isn’t a recipe for success.

However, don’t have a plan that takes forever to build and remember we can all have multi-million £ businesses on a spreadsheet – it’s easy just keep adding zeros, we have all done it

2.   A MEGA goal

Simple it might seem, but you need to have a whopping big goal to aim for, shows you believe your idea is a winner.

3.   Belief

Do you think you can tell when the person pitching to you believes in their product or service? Yes we can all see who is confident, a winner or not. So when you are pitching for business, if you don’t believe in it 100% cast iron without the slightest doubt, then others won’t either.

4.   Quality

Would you buy a poor product or service regardless of price? No, nor will anyone else. So whatever you do the small details count, make sure you get that all right, make sure you convey quality.

5.    Passion

Belief is one thing, but if you don’t have the buzz or sparkle that delivers the message to others fully charged, then they won’t want to plug in to you. Enthusiasm is catching.

6.    Guts

Whatever you are doing, you have got to trust your gut instincts and also have the guts to tough it out through the hard times in business. If you think it’s all going to be plain sailing armed with you passion, belief, enthusiasm, great quality product/service and plan, then think again – you’re going to have bad days.

7.    People

If you’re marketing plan does not involve face to face real interaction with other people, then forget success. If you think working from home is a good idea to save money and you can do everything through social media, newsletters, email, calls and telepathy – then think again. Network and connect to as many people as you possibly can.

7 1/2. Do it or don’t

Whatever you do in life or business, do it 100% or don’t bother. 1/2 hearted anything does not work. If you think you already do, then you must be a winner already and probably didn’t read this.
