Today is the start of week two of my 30 day challenges. I still have a 100% tick in all boxes so far and I have to say the weekend was definitely the hardest to keep to.
So day 8’s picture was taken at the central London offices of Herman Miller. I was attending a #SharingEconomy event organised by Bernie Mitchell, as part of Social Media Week London or #SMWLDN
The discussion or debate in fact, was all around the idea of sharing and social media. The sharing economy is growing and many, myself included, see it as the future model for business and life in general. I often talk about the 7 billion people on the planet and the issue of dwindling resources.
The fact is unless we start sharing resources, knowledge, in fact everything – then the outlook for the human race is bleak. The other thing that sharing does, which is part of what I do at the hub, is it creates community through helping each other and that has to be the way to change the old school world.
So co-working is an essential part of this new sharing economy, as work is no longer a place for more and more. It is now an activity that can be done anywhere, however, if you do it without being with other people all the time, then you’ll become isolated and you will fail.
Sharing and people are the future.
