My 30 day challenges, day 7 – by Philip Dodson

Today was the end of the first week & despite some temptations over the weekend, I managed to keep it going – 100% tick in all boxes. Although, being out for lunch at the pub, it was hard not to drink alcohol or not eat chocolate for dessert.

So today’s picture was of a canal in Somerset, where I was visiting Brad and his family for the weekend.

Canals used to be the veins of an industrial nation, now they are places to walk alongside, fish from or have a lovely barge holiday on.

Things change in the world, not over the course of say 100 years like the demise of canals or 250 years for the decline of industry, but now things change in 5 years, 2 years, in fact all the time.

We are living currently through an entrepreneurial and digital revolution. What will fill the museums or history books in 10 years time or may be only 5 years time? For sure a Blackberry, may be an iPad? who knows.

The thing today is, the only certainty is uncertainty – so businesses, people, everything must now constantly evolve and innovate – or die.
